Buskers Festival - Auckland Waterfront
Saturday 7 February 2009
With Barb having the day off, I suggested I would forgo my regular 'music lunch' and instead we should wander around the Waterfront and Viaduct in the daylight. To follow up on our promenade the previous Saturday.
As we emerged from the Downtown Carpark Building we came across the Brothers from Nowhere doing their juggling, stilt walking, mini bike stunt work in the Coast sponsored area.
Barb commented later they were more talk than do, but I guess the banter is important to their performance.
And because Barb had earlier seen the review on Cafe Limon on Princes Wharf in the Saturday Herald Canvas section, we decided they were worth a try for lunch. The meat tapas platter was alright, OK, adequate, even if you got tofu and fish with a meat based platter.
After which, came a wander around the viaduct area and past more busker performances (which we walked past without lingering) to the icecream store by Cin Cin. So much indulgence! Then a coffee to finish off at Esquires across the road.
