A gathering of some of the clan for the reattachment of the Mankelow Plaque that now shows up to date information (death dates) of the 12 Ngaroma children of George and Sarah Mankelow. The 11th of that line, the sole surviving child, Bert Mankelow suggested we should have waited until he had gone to save doing the job twice. However he did the honours of screwing in the top left screw for the plaque and Les Disher, the eldest cousin and then Royce and brother Clive did one each. Laurie provided a round of cold beers for a toast and Judy suggested after a few of those beers her brothers and cousins might get around to coming up with a plan of improvements for the Memorial Rock area.
Our Cody has managed to work out for us how to transfer the cell phone pics from my old Nokia to the computer to add these two other photos. My battery on the Panasonic camera had run low (just in storage - not from use) and caught me out, so had to resort to the cell phone.
