Tauranga Boy's College Reunion thoughts

A couple more photos of John and Ray in their Tauranga Boy's College uniforms, from around 1961. The College Reunion website had some reminisces in the Memories - by Rob Naumann including a reference to teacher Abdul. This had me thinking about a song we used to try and sing when we were having fun at his expense. I did find a song by Bert Parks - Abdul Abulbul Amir, a song also done by Frank Crumit. I also thought of another teacher that had name association with a tune, an advertising jingle for the Pinky Bar. You're sure to like it because its got marshmallow centre, chocolate too. Or something like that - and the teacher, Pinky Green.
Anyway we have a photo of John Skelton when he stayed overnight at our place and a photo of myself with school bag, all dressed up (and pants dragged up high) in the back yard – with our classy clothes line and all.
