Personal Memory; Visit out East to Patterson side, as related by Barbara Mahaffy (nee Woolley)
“Aunt Madge and Nana (Aunt Annie) came to visit us in Toronto in 1961. I think that it was Aunt Madge's first visit but not Nana's. Aunt Madge wanted to go to London to visit relatives from her side of the family (that I didn't know but I think that their name might have been Harris). She offered to take me along, since I was done school for the summer and my sisters still had classes, so off we went on the Greyhound bus. We had a great time visiting in London and St. Marys and my favourite line of hers - which we would repeat over and over - was "Aren't we having fun - we're on our holidays". She was so upbeat about even the most minor thing; there was always a silver lining in her clouds!”
